for the people who haven't played The World Ends With You basicly the red pin things causes the boss guy to control them and make them all think the same way and 90% of people in Tokyo get them thinking that they're cool then the boss guy turns them on and all their eye's glow red and they all have the same thought which is something about righting the wrongs of the past to build a new world, etc.
